Vietnamese authorities arrested blogger và independent journamenu Psi Chi Dung, a prominent government critic and VOA contributor, in Ho Chi Minch City Thursday.

In a statement posted online, Vietnam"s Ministry of Public Security accused Dung of “dangerous” anti-state actions, including “fabricating, storing, & disseminating information, as well as other materials opposing the Vietnamese government.”

State media said Dung carried out “anti-regime activities such as producing anti-state articles, cooperating with foreign media."

Dung, 53, president of the outlawed Independent Journadanh mục Association of Vietnam giới (IJAVN), could face a jail sentence of five sầu khổng lồ trăng tròn years if found guilty, local truyền thông media said.
